Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Sometimes known as Kinmount Willie Oatmeal Stout in the US.
Ingredients: Maris Otter Malt; Black Malt; Roasted Barley; Pinhead Oats; English grown Fuggles, Goldings and Target hops.
"Oats are used in the brewing of Scottish Oatmeal Stout to enhance the flavour of the black malt and roasted barley which give this traditional beer its rich dark colour and strong, complex roasted malt aroma and flavour, reminiscent of coffee and chocolate. These flavours are offset by a good hop bitterness and silky aftertaste."

Pours deep ruby brown, clear with a tan head. Roasty carmel aroma. Flavor is rich and roasty, with a lingering coffee note. Some smokiness in the flavor and aroma adding a layer of complexity. Decent dark session brew.

Brown opaque with thin beige head. Silky, soft, toffeeish and slightly roasty. Even oats were readable.

Bottle. Didn’t even taste like a stout, closer in style to a mild. Whataver it is, its still pretty thin, no rich bitter chocolate or roastyness, just a thin sweet mollassesy, lightly toasty crappy stout.

Dark brown coloured. Quite malty and rather sweet. Smooth mouthfeel. Rather boring and thin.

Dark quite flat looking beer with a light roasted aroma, and a weak watery coffee flavour. Overall quite a weak stout.

Darkish blackish redddish with a small, fading head. Aroma is faintly of molasses and damp cardboard. Immediately struck by the thin palate. Flavors are watery, with distant notes of molasses and faint dusty cedar. Watery, slightly bitter finish. Very unimpressive.

Black color. Simple aroma and taste, just some roasted malt, some sweetness, too weak and too poor.

Dark amber to brown color. Strong caramel character, with nuts and herbs, but overall poor.
