Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Sometimes known as Kinmount Willie Oatmeal Stout in the US.
Ingredients: Maris Otter Malt; Black Malt; Roasted Barley; Pinhead Oats; English grown Fuggles, Goldings and Target hops.
"Oats are used in the brewing of Scottish Oatmeal Stout to enhance the flavour of the black malt and roasted barley which give this traditional beer its rich dark colour and strong, complex roasted malt aroma and flavour, reminiscent of coffee and chocolate. These flavours are offset by a good hop bitterness and silky aftertaste."

Chocolate aroma, with a hint of berries. Dark cola appearance of previous ratings is perfect description. Small tan head quickly dissipates, but some nice lacing after every sip. Flavor of chocolate and malt, short finish of oatmeal. I think I've had fuller mouthed porters, even so, I would not call this Stout watery. Became maltier and oatier as it warmed. Those who like a thick mouth feel might want to stay away, but I enjoyed it.

Has a cola like appearance. Coffee and roasted malts, chocolate. Seems like a vanilla porter. Too thin of a mouthfeel. Oddly becomes worse as it warms - turns really bland, flat, watery and looses all flavor. Started out good, but disappointing finish.

Dark, soda colored with only the slightest bit of head. Coffee and chocolate nose. Smooth mouthfeel, tastes of vanilla and chocolate. Oatmeal is smooth and creamy. Most of the taste seems to be at the start of each sip and is quite tasteless at the finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel is this stouts best feature.

500 ml. bottle. Very dark brown, almost black stout, which has a very roasted malt nose and taste. There is a very nice sweetness which lingers in the finish. This stout was delicious! I would definitely try it again. I would have liked a higher ABV, but it is worth trying again.

Dark ruby-brown with a dark khaki fine textured head. Sweet fruity aroma of prunes, cherries, and molasses. Dry with a little roast to start and a sour finish with lingering roast. Dissappointing light body.

Head dies quick. Taste is a litte bitter with some coffee notes. Finish is dry and burnt, lasts awhile in the mouth, nice. Good English-style stout.

As stouts go I have to say I was horribly disappointed. Had all the look and aroma of a great one but when it came to taste to taste it came up hollow. I found the taste to be burnt and boring. A shame.

Bottled: Dark brown coloured. Huge brownish head. Lasting. Sweetness, malt, molasses and chocolate in the nose. Aroma promises much more than you get. Vague and boring flavour. Watery. Notes of malt and some roastyness. Dies quickly on the palate.
