fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 13, 2009 Cask Conditioned at Market Porter, London Almost black color. Very light aroma, some roasted malt in it. Poor body and flavor, some roasted malt, lightly smokey. Boring. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Dec 15, 2008 A Mes rate. Cask at the Market Porter. Black body with a tan head and decent condition. Rich smoked malt aroma with some slight earth, not amazing but nice enough. There is an odd note of cardboard in the flavour but lashings of smoky malt and some cereal and bread sort it out nicely. Meaty finish with plenty of bacon plus some developing chalky chocolate. Interesting but not quite right. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 Cask at Charlies.
Black coloured with a beige head.
Light roasted and fruity aroma with notes of coffee.
Light roasted flavour of fruits, apples and wood.

tk2 Cask Aberdeen Beer festival 07 ... as i said no change. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Feb 16, 2007 Cask gravity at Battersea BF 2007. Black colour with dark brown edges and tan head. Liquorice stout. Good fullness in mouth, some choc. Some good roasted flavours. Choc/coffee flavours. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Feb 15, 2007 Gravity Cask @ Battersea Beer Festival. Deep black. Watery and thin. Sweet liquoricey malts and tart berries. A little boring. Oatmeal seems to have a reputation as adding a full smooth silkiness to the body but this was less richly bodied than most standard stouts.
