Bottled, RBESG. Sweet, standard bitter. Lots of malt. Nothing outstanding about this IMHO. Maybe my sample was too small?

Bottled. An amber to ruby coloured beer with a white head and nice lacing. A very tasty beer which initially comes over malty and fruity in the aroma with berries. but then comes over all hoppy and quite American in feel. Actually the more I drink it the better it tastes, and those hops really please. I’d love to see others drink this blind, as I don’t think anyone would pick this out to be a Bitter from an old school Scottish brewery. Lovely.

Nice golden head and the color is like liquid amber. The aroma is malty and the flavour is rather special and doesn’t beat around the bushes. It’s astringent with notes of roasted malt, and together with the bitterness, it’s all I get from this one. It doesn’t leave me with the wish to have yet another one..

500ml bottle from Booths. Chestnut with thick beige head. Lovely subtle grapefruit hop profile on this. Some candy sugar in mouth. Hop as I say is very decent. One of the better Broughton beers. Little bit of smooth creaminess.

Bottle (500ml). Via trade with jerc - thanks once again, Jer. Looks the part - pours slightly cloudy copper with a huge frothy/creamy/rocky lasting head. Soft, wheaty, grainy, lightly floral hops, pretty nice, a little tangy. Taste is spot-on - tea-like malt, floral slightly herbal hops - the only knock is it’s a little too light and disappears pretty quick. Watery body, a little astringent, no alcohol, a little bitterness in the finish. Terrific session beer, many would go down easily.

Bottled. Nice amber color with frothy white head. Flowery hops in the nose with a slight bit of resin. Good flavor with full mouthfeel, good grainy malty taste with a light-ish hop finish.

500 ml bottle. Copper colour with a mostly lasting creamy and frothy off-white head. Caramel and bready aroma. Toffee and bready malt flavours with an assertive fruity and pithy bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft mouthfeel. A step up from most bottled bitters making their way across the pond, but nothing to knock your socks off.
