Nice dark copper colour, head is off white and fluffy, big bubbled tho’ and so doesn’t last too long, leaves some small patches of lacework. A mix of malt and friuty hops on the nose, typically Broughton I suppose. Palate is light and rather lacking in character, a slight bitterness appears on the finish. Pretty much, a standard bitter!

bottled; from Fête de la Bière 2005, Lausanne - bright and clear reddish-amber colour, fine and persistant foam leaving a nie lacing, deep flowery and spicy hoppiness, creamy mouthfeel, quite high carbonation and a solid malt body; a decent bitterness precedes a dry flowery and peppery aftertaste - pleasant and dangerously drinkable

[bottle from peckhams] pours a clear copper colour with a moderate head. the nose is fairly simple, a little flowery hops with somecaramel maltyness and some faint notes of plum. body feels very thin, very slight touch of bitterness in the finish.

Light amber colour with small white head. Aroma is malty with flowers and herbs. Flavor is initially malty with some caramel and flower, but ends with a bitter hoppy touch.

I found it very Scottish: sharp roasty bitterness all the way. Quite interesting were orange colour and spicy, peppery aroma.

Bright amber/orange with a small head. Aromas are carmal malts with some floral elements and peppery hops. Flavours are sweet, if a little thin, caramel with biscuit malts and floral notes. A dry finish completes this decent beer.

(on bottle) The compagny can write "malty beer" allover the label; this one is was a hoppy beer if anything. Pale orange, small head, not a impressing nose, an bit fresh. The taste is dominated totally of the extra hopping and thats about it.

Pale orange-redbrown. Beige head. Caramel aroma with tones of apple and apple stones. Roasted flavor with tones of caramel, coffee and hops. Fruity with firm bitterness.
