Ingevara (458), Hindås, Sweden Aug 26, 2002 : A rich maltyness dominates my first impression. The barley sugar and the hops work in the background to make a solid foundation for the long lasting aroma. This is how a beer should be like. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 6, 2007 Slightly hazy orange amber with a thick almond coloured clotted-cream head that forms a 1cm lumpy mattress on top. This looks very delicious. Sweet aroma of barley candy and dried apricots. Very malty palate, some caramel, some stone fruit, and a very bitter finish indeed. This is an exceptional bitter in my opinion. Rob_Bestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Feb 14, 2003 very malty nose, opaque copper hue with no head, hints of yeast and malts with a hoppy aftertaste. maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jun 6, 2007 Bottled. An amber to ruby coloured beer with a white head and nice lacing. A very tasty beer which initially comes over malty and fruity in the aroma with berries. but then comes over all hoppy and quite American in feel. Actually the more I drink it the better it tastes, and those hops really please. I’d love to see others drink this blind, as I don’t think anyone would pick this out to be a Bitter from an old school Scottish brewery. Lovely. pilsnerrogge (1577), Finspång, Sweden Feb 22, 2002 Copper-colour, nice head. Oily hop-aroma with some coconut. Palate might be a bit on the thin side but the BIG taste of hops makes up for that.
