Draught. At Mondial 2009 - day 1. Cloudy orange with a fluffy-creamy off-white head, sticky lacing. Dry and yeasty aroma, fresh grain with grapefruit zest bitterness. The taste followed perfectly - dry, spicy/yeasty, a hint of crushed pine needles; sharp. Average body, moderately astringent-bitter, with a nice long dry finish - very solid, surprisingly bitter, but not off-putting.

Draught at ’Mondial de la Biere 2009’, Montréal, QC. First beer in Montreal and first beer of the fest! Pours a cloudy orange-gold with a huge lasting fluffy white head. Aroma’s grainy and hoppy along with some fruit. Flavour of resiny hops, grapefruit, some spices and...roses? Very bitter finish. Average bodied. I believe I would have liked this better had it not been ’hop-infused’ but still a solid effort.

Mondiale 09. Huge foamy white head, grapefruit hazy yellow. Nice grapefruit aroma. Good taste - resiny grapefruit pith hops, great carbonated body. Solid. I am entering these out of order, but this was actually my first beer of the fest.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. A nice caramel malt with yeasty notes, orange peels, creamy. In mouth, a nice herbal malt with coriander, curacao. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. On tap at Brouhaha, March 28 2009.

Amber-orangeish color, with a white head, yeasty, earthy toasted, biscuity malt nose with some orange, lemon peel esters, with a floral hop resinous, leafy accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty bubblegum, toasty, grainy cereal malt, flowery hop character of nice resinous, leafiness, with a hint of spearmint, and cloverleaf mintiness, with some lemon, grapefruit peel fruity notes, leading towards a resiny, citrusy, zesty, dry leafy hop bitterness finish.
