[ As Brouwcafe Brouwbok ]. Clear light dark red brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, berry, toffee, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, burnt sugar sweet and bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Sep 26, 2007 Brewery tap. Caramel and Buisman in the aroma. Brown sugar. Very sweet flavor with a hint of raspberry and laurel, especially in the aftertaste. Fairly weak but a decent brew.

Oct 22, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Aroma of dark malts with hints of chocolat and faint fruity sourness. Dark brown color, beige creamy head, good lace. Very nice mouthfeel, soft and silky. Dark malts, light sweet, light bitter, hint of chocolat, no sourness in the flavor.
