Bottle @ Vilvordia Bierproef Festival, Jette, Brussels. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slighlty flowery aroma with hints of caramel. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some spicy hints. Sweetish malty caramel finish with some spicy hints in the aftertaste.

Taste this beer from bottle, 75 cl. @ Rusteel (Hop event). Hazy amber color, with off-white head. Aroma fruits, caramel, spice. Medium body. Taste sweet, caramel malts, yeast, spices, alcohol feeling.

Off-white head, gone after scant seconds; fully hazy amber-orange beer. Flowery nose, some liquorice and other spices, peppery smelling. Sweet-spicy flavours, discreet ginger and it would seem some pearester. Well-bodied, but not really viscous or oily. Alcohol is very present in the aftertaste. Interesting, but not really outstanding.

0.75 l bottle from ’t Rusteel. Nice hazy deep red amber colour with a medium head. Fruity aroma with pears and apples. Flavours start fruity as well, mid-way meeting some caramel and ending semi-dry. Full-bodied. Well-carbonated. Robust Belgian craftmanship shines through, worthy of celebrating the 25 years’ existence of one of Belgium’s best (and most unsung) beer cafés, ’t Rusteel near Kortrijk.
