Muddy dark gold with big, floatsam off-white head / Faint hop nose / Light to medium body, lively but delicate carbonation, with long and dry finish / Complex, Belgian-like flavors of brett, dried mushrooms, and dry hops, with long and dry, lightly bitter finish / Surprisingly outstanding - blind would guess a farmhouse ale. stefanje (943), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA

Pours a nice cloudy copper color with a big fluffy white head that had good retention and left plenty of lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength with sugar cookies, persimmons, malts, spices and leather. The taste is quite unique with sweet leather, rye bread, carrots and lightly biter almonds. The mouthfeel is light and slightly malty. The finish is short with lingering sweet breads. Overall: lA very strange tasting ESB, but it grows on you as you finish the bottle. Quite a unique taste experience. Thanks. TheBeerOrg (1577), Kentucky, USA

Aroma of fruity English hops, herbs, earthy citrus, and mild alefruits. Taste is nicely balanced with supple hoppiness mending together with toasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and resinous with lively carbonation. Nice brew, easily quaffed. 502Flavors (621), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Bomber. Nice honey gold with big pillowy white head that leaves some nice lace. Aroma is nice with a great balance between malt and hops. Soft but very attracting. The flavor is just as balanced but not as potent and juicy. So drinkable though; a great session brew slash thirst quencher. Medium bodied with minimum carbonation that is very smooth and easygoing. Overall: though not complex, this is very complex and I am really enjoying the more simple and drinkable session styles like ESB, of which this is a pretty solid example. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 I picked up a bomber of this at Wise Guys in Merrillville, IN. It pours a very slightly hazed copper body with an off-white head and good lacing. It has an aroma of old toffee topped by some herbs and dried flowers. Medium bodied. Nice malty taste offset by an earthy bitterness but with a slightly soured touch at the finish. Rynoplasty (535), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Aroma is sweet and malty, with caramel notes coming through. Taste is nice and malty, with a slight bitter finish as well as a slightly sour flavor at the end. Not a bad brew. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Not a ton of aroma, especially for the style. A little malt and a touch of dusty hops. The flavor is very nice - I’d put it 2nd in the area behind NABC’s Beak’s Best. Nice balance between the malt and the British-style hops. Medium-bodied and slightly fizzy despite not being very highly carbonated.
