mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 27, 2008 (Sampled 7-14-08 at brewery) Black in appearance, non transparent, some lacing. Very faint aroma of roasted malt. Hits the mouth with a hard wide body, malt is nicely roasted, cream quality in the middle, finish of molasses and caramel. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Jun 25, 2008 Draught. Pours brown. The aroma is sweet, almost cola-like with hints at oats. Not much bitterness or roast is present on this one. I found the mouthfeel to be light for a stout. Flavors of caramel and chocolate are present with a richly sweet finish. This is a decent, fairly creamy beer. There just isn’t much to it. Tmoney99 (4649), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 16, 2008 Draft sample at Keg Fest. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Smooth brew, my expectations where met. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA May 2, 2004 Draft - black appearance. Too thin for the style. Very roasty with Chinook, Northern Brewers and Perle hops. Getting better!
