The pour is a cloudy amber with about an inch of foamy beige head and a lot of lacing on the glass. The aroma is distinctly hopped and very clean. Bold but smooth mouthfeel. A good hoppy taste to it along with something that reminds me of bananas. It has a nice freshness about it.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Look is light orange with a honey colored shine. Puffy white head. Good lace. Lots of carbonation.
Smell is bitterish woody hops with a wet almost amberish malt. Secondary flowery character in the hops. Hoppy as heck but also balanced.
Taste is heavy hop flavor; butter but also a bit sweet. Starts off woody but then turns flowery.
Creamy and smooth feel. Medium thickness. Leaves a bitter film. Overall it’s bitter and yet very drinkable. Nice and hoppy and a little malty. PolishHammer (64), , Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2009 More of an english than an american-style IPA. Strong bouquet of chinook and fuggles hops. A bit too much bittering hops for my taste....really puckers the back and sides of the tongue. A refreshing IPA nonetheless. A bit cloudy. Overall, I’d call this a an english-american hybrid IPA. Good beer. CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2009 Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a stringy-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramely malt with a touch of grapefruity hops. Starts with good fullness and carbonation along with a light toasty malty sweetness and some slightly resiny citrus and piny hops before a smooth, bittersweet finish. Could use a little more hop bite, but still a pretty good IPA. COBeer (18), Boston, Massachusetts, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Complimentary case from brewer after awesome tour of their digs over at Browns. Split with Pwn3d, DeputyAndy, and the WhiteMountain of course. This ipa pours a decent body with little head. The aroma is strong pine and hop. The flavor is bitter hop and fruit - grapefruit. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Pours with little head. Nice strong roasted pine nose. Deeper ipa with more roasted flavors than bitters. Nice finish but a little lacking for a well-rounded ipa. Pwn3d (1114), Manhattan, New York, USA

So please with a grain of salt.. Not a fan of the style to begin with.. but this had good fresh hop flavor. A good clean ipa.
