popkow (33), New York, New York, USA Nov 11, 2007 A nice stout with an average head, dark black color. The heavy malt released a toasted chocolate aroma that hid the alcohol. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 02/21/2007

CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 5, 2007 Sampled from a growler on 2/21/07: Pours an oily opaque with dark brown edges and a thin ring of tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel with a touch of plums and brown sugar. Body starts fairly full and sugary sweet with some earthy dark chocolate caramel and a slightly thinner, drier finish. A little on the weaker side of imperial stouts, but pretty well balanced and drinkable. shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Mar 6, 2007 Deep dark black color with a brown head. Aroma is of dark roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts with a bitter finish. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Mar 5, 2007 Growler: I didn’t know what to expect but this was some decent stuff. the beer poured a very dark brown to black color with a golden brown rim. Small creamy brown head. With each swirl an of the glass an oily brown film was left. The aroma had a pleasant light roast and a fair amount of smokiness. Light sweetness and roast are found in the flavor. Mild bitterness on the finish give a decent balance. The mouthfeel was on the dull side.
