Light-medium carbonation. Clear light amber color, light-medium bodied, starts malty and sweet, finishes mellow with some crispness, good session beer. $1.05 for a 16 oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA. courtney2073 (11), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 3, 2003 Mysterious beer of Boston origins. Comes in a pounder BOTTLE, interestingly. I have only ever seen it at Bukowski's in Boston. This is like the Christopher Walken of beers, if that makes sense. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA

Well I wasnt given a glass to drink this with, so I just went with it and drank it from the bottle. I did pour some in my friends glass to check the color, which was a very soft yellow, light golds and a white head. Aroma had some light malts in it, some grass notes, nothing big but not too bad. Flavor was drinkably neutral, some light malt flavors (white bread, hay, almonds maybe) but nothing unusual and at least no sour/skunky stale cereal flavors. I drank it down just fine. Not overly carbonated, which is a big plus. Light body. bufflo (2), USA does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 31, 2002 $14 for a case, returnable bottles. Better than PBR, Bud, Coors and so on, but a hell of a lot cheaper. Look or ask for it, it’s out there. blinesam (233), USA

I’ve had this lager with and without a lime. Why? Because I’ve had it a million times so I need to change it up once in a while. This is a good drinking beer, not chugable because of its rich flavor. Certainly not the best beer available but certainly worth a try if you don’t want to spend a lot. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA

I was slighly scared to try this, especially considering the pencil-shaving aroma. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s more than drinkable. Tastes like it cost a dollar, but it wasn’t a dollar wasted. johnyvt (157), West Hollywood, California, USA

Drinkable and not too light, fairly basic tasting. Wouldn’t go so far as to call it "good," but it’s good for a night out and your wallet. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2005 Bottle. I was not given a glass for this magnificent beer, so I can not rate the color. I’ll just assume it looks like Coors Light. Aroma from the bottle is of skunky malt. Kind of like malt that had rotted in my gym socks (this could of course be the bottle and the nasty ice water it was soaking in). Taste is light and sweet with a little malt to be found. The greatest thing about this beer is it’s $2 for a 16oz bottle. I even got it for that price in downtown boston where a Bud will cost you $4. This is way better than Bud, and I’m kicking up it’s overall rating based on the price.
