Jwasciuk (194), Lowell, Michigan, USA Aug 22, 2006 Aroma is lightly malty like dark bread and toasted nuts and cheese. It pours clear amber with a creamy off white mostly lasting head. It is lightly sweet and acetic and sour with an avrage finish duration. Lithe to medium bodied creamy and soft and a bit metallic. I probably wont get this again, not impressed thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Aug 11, 2006 Pour is a clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is a sour bready with a hint of skunk. Flavor is sweet and hoppy but not much else. Slightly bland and boring. This is the boring beer of Belgium. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Deep golden pour with 1-finger white head. Aroma of bready malt, hopcitrus, some corn. The flavor was citrusy, lemongrassy, limey, with some bready malt, honey, and hop notes. bitbucket (2024), Kirkland, Washington, USA Aug 7, 2006 Bottled. Pours a clear amber with a lacy cream-colored head. The body is medium with medium carbonation. Corriander, toffee and fruit in the nose. The taste is caramel and fruit with a bit of corriander and cloves in the in the ever-so-slightly bitter finish. No out standing characteristics, but no problems either. This would be a hugely sessionable beer. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 7, 2006 Bottled. Clear, sparkling, amber ale with a decent beige head. Strange aroma with some sour note, caramel and hops. The flavor is fruity and honey-like, with hops. Thin body and a finish with sweetness and fruityness. Strange, but not bad. The finish lasts long, with a fruity hoppiness. Strange, but not bad beer. (060807) Beerio (48), USA Jul 20, 2006 The aroma really put me off. It’s difficult to accurately describe the nose, other than to simply state that it has a sour scent; somewhat akin to raw poultry. It tastes mediocre, but I cannot get by the smell. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 18, 2006 Golden tan color. Smell of caramel, grahmcrackers and honey. Taste of grahmcrackers, fruit, malt, honey and caramel. Dry white wine finish at the end. piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jul 17, 2006 Medium amber in colour with average carbonation. Aromas of caramel and vanilla custard (an unusual combo, yet quite nice). More caramel and custeard in the mouth, along with some notes of dried fruit (especially banana chips), burnt sugar, and spicy Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, but on the light side for the style. This isn’t one of those super complex high octane Belgians, but I still really enjoyed it. A Belgian session ale perhaps... if such a thing even exists?
