Aromas of caramel and vanilla custard (an unusual combo, yet quite nice). More caramel and custeard in the mouth, along with some notes of dried fruit (especially banana chips), burnt sugar, and spicy Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, but on the light side for the style. This isn’t one of those super complex high octane Belgians, but I still really enjoyed it. A Belgian session ale perhaps... if such a thing even exists? brewblackhole (1370), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

Started off kind of sour and caramel, but finished bitter. This was a very flavorfull beer, but a bit weak.I might buy again. You should try it. diabel (1368), Aarschot, Belgium

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2006 Yeasty, caramel, malt aroma. AMber body, small white head. Taste is tangy, hits caramel, malts, then gets tart, medium body, with a super-dry finish. Refreshing, tasty stuff. Worth trying, but nothinhg to rave about. eaglefan538 (2360), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2006 Neat color (amber / orange) and head on this one. However, a bit light and over carbonated for the sour citrus flavor behind it. Can catch you off guard (kinda like expecting sprite and unknowingly sipping a bottle of carbonated water). If you don’t like Belgians, this one definitely won’t win you over. If you like Belgians, its on par with an average beer. OldMrCrow (1185), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours amber with a fluffy white head. Belgian yeast, some wit-like spice, lemon, citrus peel on the nose; the flavor is relatively dry, relatively tart, lemon juice with water, reasonably refreshing. The carbonation is active if not aggressive in the prickly sense; some metallic bitterness lingers on the finish.
Tolerable enough beer, but somehow it’s just not coming together for me as something worth revisiting. It’s watered-down and so straightforward as to be almost unnoticable.
