PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA Nov 7, 2005 This is a fairly drab Amber, Has a slight bitter aftertaste, with a hint of burnt hops, not bad, but I wouldnt have it again. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA Nov 6, 2005 bottle from whole foods. if fat tire can be described as a clone of any beer, this is it. I want to taste them side-by-side. That said, aroma is malty, not much else. Low carbonation, very little head. medium/heavy body, lots of malty sweetness. very little bitterness present, this leaves a slightly over-sweet finish. eh. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 1, 2005 Bottle. Limpid amber body with average carbonation and a thin beige frothy head. Unbalanced malty aroma with strong bready notes. Light and boring malty/hoppy taste that carries unpleasant metellic hints. It ends with a very short dry finish. Disappointing... jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA Oct 25, 2005 Pours light amber with a large white head. Dark malt and dark fruit aroma. Not bad, but not special. The flavor begins sweet, then turns somewhat sour. There is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Drinkable--even pleasant--but not re-drinkable. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Oct 18, 2005 Clear amber color with a decent head. Aroma is nondescript with maybe a little yeast. The flavor is watery with a little hint of apple followed by more water and yeast. It’s easy to drink and not completely tasteless. Fairly one-dimensional and boring. I have little desire to ever try this again. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Oct 16, 2005 This beer pours the color of motor oil and is slightly darker than honey. Nice looking beer but with very little head. Lacing tends to slowly move down the glass. The aroma is on the thin side but hints of raisens and yeast are evident. Not at all unpleasant. On the mouth it is thin and grabs the tongue very far back. The beer has an interesting combination of bitter and sour but it manages to balance the two. It finishes with more tartness. GiBrew (171), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada Oct 4, 2005 Copper colour/orange, clear liquid with a large diminishing off white head. Aroma is mostly acidic fruit juice (apple and citrus) with notes of yeast and malt. The flavours do nothing at all for me on this one - Very sour with an acidic finish. Fairly dry mouthfeel. Reminds me very much of apple cinder. BT (85), Newtown, Connecticut, USA Sep 12, 2005 Poured a cloudy, amber brown with a thick, creamy head. Enjoyable, but nothing of great significance to this drinker. From a sampler 6-pack from Van Steenberge
