szkot (100), Minnesota, USA Feb 24, 2005 This beer pours a light amber with a relatively generous white head. Aroma is of malty sweetness, light fruit. Tastes somewhat sweet, then turns sour. Overall, this is a beer I would drink, but not one I will actively seek out. johnyvt (157), West Hollywood, California, USA Feb 24, 2005 11.2oz bottle. Aroma is apple and malt. Pours a deep orange with a big white head. Lots of carbonation gives it an almost champange-like mouthfeel. Very sweet, fruity taste. Kind of watery and light, lacking in a much of a finish. Hairofthedog (419), San Diego, California, USA Feb 22, 2005 The aroma was slightly malty w/ flowers and a dark fruit sweetness. The flavor was the same. The beer poured an orangish brown color w/ thin head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Feb 15, 2005 (Bottled) Clear amber color with a small head. Sweet, toffee-malty, slightly sour and vinegary tomato ketchup aroma. Nicely woody-hoppy flavor. Medium-bodied, sugary-slicky, smooth-carbonated palate. A very enjoyable, pleasantly hoppy and balanced amber ale. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA Feb 14, 2005 Bottle in Honolulu: Pours amber with a large rocky beige head. Streaming carbonation. Lightly sour aroma. Slightly metallic.Very carbonated. Light sourness in the flavor. Sure tastes "Belgian". Pretty good. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jan 20, 2005 Pours clear amber with a thick foamy head, lot’s of effervescence. Nose is estery and a bit sour. Flavors of spice and orange peels. Mouthfeel is much like champagne, lots of acerbic carbonation. Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Jan 17, 2005 this amber pours a big foamy off white head that made some snap, crackel, pop noises as it simmered down.the color was a murky reddish orange.i got an aroma of brown sugar, metal, figs, and yeast.the first sip started a bit watery, then came some yeast, then brown sugar, then some cardboard.very interesting brew. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jan 13, 2005 Updated: Feb 3, 2006Rerate. A nice white head. The body is a very dark copper and amber color. A slight funky balsamic vinegar and blue cheese aroma. There are also some apples. Interesting. The taste is slightly sour with some limes and oranges. A hint of bread crust. Finishes with some sweet peaches. This is certainly unique.
