Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

This one has been sitting around for awhile but still in it’s prime. Very head pour, sour/sweet aroma akin to a flemish sour. Not so heavy on the port aroma, but more floral/spicy like a typical belgian beer. Smooth flavour, at first taste is similar to a dubbel but then mellows out to something closer to an english ale. Slight bitterness. Sweet malt notes, full body. Cheers!

This beer pours a light amber with a relatively generous white head. Aroma is of malty sweetness, light fruit. Tastes somewhat sweet, then turns sour. Overall, this is a beer I would drink, but not one I will actively seek out.

11.2oz bottle. Aroma is apple and malt. Pours a deep orange with a big white head. Lots of carbonation gives it an almost champange-like mouthfeel. Very sweet, fruity taste. Kind of watery and light, lacking in a much of a finish.

The aroma was slightly malty w/ flowers and a dark fruit sweetness. The flavor was the same. The beer poured an orangish brown color w/ thin head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.

(Bottled) Clear amber color with a small head. Sweet, toffee-malty, slightly sour and vinegary tomato ketchup aroma. Nicely woody-hoppy flavor. Medium-bodied, sugary-slicky, smooth-carbonated palate. A very enjoyable, pleasantly hoppy and balanced amber ale.

Bottle in Honolulu: Pours amber with a large rocky beige head. Streaming carbonation. Lightly sour aroma. Slightly metallic.Very carbonated. Light sourness in the flavor. Sure tastes "Belgian". Pretty good.

Pours clear amber with a thick foamy head, lot’s of effervescence. Nose is estery and a bit sour. Flavors of spice and orange peels. Mouthfeel is much like champagne, lots of acerbic carbonation.

this amber pours a big foamy off white head that made some snap, crackel, pop noises as it simmered down.the color was a murky reddish orange.i got an aroma of brown sugar, metal, figs, and yeast.the first sip started a bit watery, then came some yeast, then brown sugar, then some cardboard.very interesting brew.
