Jun 15, 2004 I found this a fairly simplistic brew. Starts with a nice white head and deep brown colour. The nose and flavour are sweet, kind of rasin like. There’s a hint of sourness near the end and an awfully stron alcohol presence for a beer that only clocks in at 5% abv.

Jun 7, 2004 Yeasty, bubblegum-like aroma, slightly sweet. Thick, foamy beige head with floating sediment, hazy dark orange pour. One dimensional flavor -mainly yeast with some bubblegum notes - just like the aroma. Has a bit of spiced fruit flavor as well. Decent mouthfeel. Finish is a bit dry and leathery. Had much better from Belgium.

May 27, 2004 In the bottle. Pours a big bubbled amber with a long lasting head. Not as powerful an aroma as I expected. Body is lighter than it should be. Lacks the complex flavors expected in an exotic Belgian ale. A pretty simple beer with great malty yeasty finish.

May 23, 2004 Cloudy amber body with big rocky beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, spicy, ginger, green tea, some orange, light anise, herbal. Taste is medium sweet, ginger, green tea, yeasty spicy, some earthy/herbal in the finish. Watery medium body, some acidity, bubbly. Interesting, but I’m not wholly sure I like it.

May 13, 2004 Hmm, I enjoyed this one. Pours with a large head, frothy white, nice bubbles. Hazy body. this beer has some bite to it.

May 3, 2004 a huge head, then a yummy root beer float. Some molasses in there? Second ferment in the bottle. An average beer from this world class brewery. Sweet taste followed on by tart and peppery spice and fruit, then long and dry aftertaste. Try just before meat dinner in lieu of wine.

Apr 27, 2004 INteresting auroma on this beer. Beautiful pour. Very citrusy taste. This is another one I think I am going to let warm up a bit before I drink it. Hey, I'm the 100th person to rate this beer. Cool!
