| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a smallish, white head. Fine curtains of lace on the way down.
Smell: Pale malts adjacent to slice of crunchy French bread slathered in unsalted butter. Notes of sugar-coated fruits.
Taste: Delicately-flavored, bready pale malts with just the faintest hint of grain. Sliver of butter. Mixture of tart, juicy Golden Delicious apples, pears, and sour lemons. Slightly herbal, slightly grassy hops with a mild bitterness. Sourish yeast character near the tail end. Finishes quite crisp with a final zip of fruitiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Nearly spritzy, moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Pleasant and easily drinkable, but leaves you looking for a bit more. Nate (2552), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Somewhat tart, but also has a bit of nutty hint to it. Light alcohol smell, too. Is medium dark amber, clear, with off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with mild carbonation. Starts with a sweet nuttiness, a bit dry, with some tang. Mild fruity malt with ozone-like quality. Burnt toy electric train tang. Kind of watery overall, like an amber ale mixed with some flemish sour ale. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

I think that I womehow expected this to be more Belgian and less amber ale, but this is just up to snuff in either category. jgb9348 (2500), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2003 Slightly hazy light copper colour with a thin off-white head. Sweet honey aroma with a bit of malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong carbonation, subtle sweet flavours wrapped around a mild maltiness. Aftertaste very mild and only somewhat showing the flavour. Overall, not great for a belgie and should be overlooked. I bought this 33 cL bottle at Green's Beverages in Atlanta, Georgia and sampled it on 27-September-2003. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 28, 2002 Nice orange-red colour with a strong off-white head. Really nice aroma of malt and caramel, which led me to anticipate a similar warming flavour - but it just wasn’t there. The body is light and watery, and the flavour holds barely a hint of what the aroma suggests. No great finish to speak of either. A real disappointment. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Flavor is of sugar and caramel with a sour aftertaste that I found rather annoying. On the palate this is light and watery. This one was nothing more than average.
