Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Another vintage rate from London’s Belgian Beer Festival 2005. Cask. Clear amber in colour (with a specific hue noted: sunset orange) with small white head. Yeasty nose with notes of fruit, bread and carrot cake. Nice taste of raisins, bread and gin? Really, gin? I can’t quite make out what it says, but I think it’s gin. Nevermind. Slightly metallic, creamy finish. All in all fairly good.

Pretty sweet tasting brew. flavour was sweet, very different from what I think of amber ale. Bit of a creamy texture. Too sweet for me.

The bottle says amber ale on it but when poured its a cloudy golden color (lost in translation). Strong apple aroma. Large head that diminishes quickly. Dry apple taste. A very interesting beer.

Bottle pours an amber color with a large head that consists of large bubbles below the head sheen with little lace. The aroma is yeasty and malty. The flavor is dry and lightly yeasty with a fairly rich body. Overall, average to slightly above.

Started great then went south. Nice pour with a long lasting frothy head. Original flavor reminds me of a French amber. Then it all goes away leaving sweet laundry water.

A nice beer. Have a very strong belgian aroma with lots of hops and malted barley. Appearance is nice and cloudy brown. Mouth feel is smooth and flavor is alright, a little bitter for a belgian ale."

Pours clear deep amber, tiny white head. Nose is sweet and fruity, lightly spiced. Very straight forward. Quite malty, not very bitter. Lots of apple sauce. Good but not exciting.
