Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

light brown appearance that is very thin looking with a slight head. the flavor is lacking with a bitter slightly malty flavor. no flavor takes the forefront and it is not a good beer at all

I really don’t know what to make of this. The sourness almost smacks me of a lambic but the rest of it consists of a wet palate and way too much carbonation. The aroma isn’t bad but has a downside-sour apples dipped in paint?

Not as strong in flavor or kick as I like Belgian ales to be. Decent all the same. Would have been a great beer had it had a bit more spiciness to it. The finish was a bit rough although bearable.

A nice looking pour with a largish head, aroma is yeast and spice. A light bodied belgian with a sweet/sour tinge and a bit of spice in the finish. Enjoyable, not the best of the breed but a decent belgian when you need to back off on the abv.

INteresting auroma on this beer. Beautiful pour. Very citrusy taste. This is another one I think I am going to let warm up a bit before I drink it. Hey, I'm the 100th person to rate this beer. Cool!

Dull clear colour and little head. Aroma yeast and esters. Taste slightly sour and touch something musty, thin, sweetish, a bit flat and sticky but still an interesting Belgian session-type beer. Sort of a mass-produced quality to it - Bruegel is, like Mort Subite, indefineably European, even if not the greatest. Different... quite okay stuff.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet malts with caramel and grain coming through. Flavor had a strong metallic note that over powered the malt flavors in the aroma.

Pours a clear amber with a nice white head. Aroma was malt and corn? Kind of a wierd mash up. Flavor was off. Very much on the vinegar sde of sour but with enough malt hiding in the back to save it a little. Not a good beer.
