Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Pours an unimpressive clear copper with a thin diminishing head. Smells of caramel, almond, and granny smith apples. It’s got an average malty taste with a hint of hops.

This beer was poured into a snifter with no head at all. There was a strong nutty smell to it and it has an amber color to it. It tastes like an almond nutty beer very good though.

Dark golden color with a big frothy wihite head. Sweet, tart semi-hoppy aroma. Initial taste was mellow, a lighter body. Has ginger notes and soda like carbonation. A nice dry, somewhat bitter aftertaste. Full flavor is the exception, still a nice drinkable beer.

Oh what an exquisite little session ale. Complex beyond the alcohol content, this lively little belgian is rich in fruit and malt and fit for consumption in high volumes. Too bad this is not regularly availavle in Ontario.

Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma smells a bit like wet dog crap that has been pissed on. Not a good start. Taste is like sucking on an old wet leather shoe. Not a good ending.

Was careful to pour on this one. I know it’s am amber ale and all but the last one I had, Bornem, blew up on me. Pours amber maple colour with a mid sized head. Leaves along a roman trace of lacing. Nose is syrupy with some vineous nature to it. Taste again is syrupy, with some fruit and a very mellow, and pleasant hop charachter. Kind of chewy for an Amber Ale. Decent, though a slight offputting vinious taste does come and go. enjoyable though. You can feel the alchohol come back out.
