Smells of caramel, almond, and granny smith apples. It’s got an average malty taste with a hint of hops. gunnar (586), Sandnes, Norway

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2007 This beer was poured into a snifter with no head at all. There was a strong nutty smell to it and it has an amber color to it. It tastes like an almond nutty beer very good though. Steib (579), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2004 Dark golden color with a big frothy wihite head. Sweet, tart semi-hoppy aroma. Initial taste was mellow, a lighter body. Has ginger notes and soda like carbonation. A nice dry, somewhat bitter aftertaste. Full flavor is the exception, still a nice drinkable beer. dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Complex beyond the alcohol content, this lively little belgian is rich in fruit and malt and fit for consumption in high volumes. Too bad this is not regularly availavle in Ontario. undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma smells a bit like wet dog crap that has been pissed on. Not a good start. Taste is like sucking on an old wet leather shoe. Not a good ending. BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Was careful to pour on this one. I know it’s am amber ale and all but the last one I had, Bornem, blew up on me. Pours amber maple colour with a mid sized head. Leaves along a roman trace of lacing. Nose is syrupy with some vineous nature to it. Taste again is syrupy, with some fruit and a very mellow, and pleasant hop charachter. Kind of chewy for an Amber Ale. Decent, though a slight offputting vinious taste does come and go. enjoyable though. You can feel the alchohol come back out.
