Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Bottled Sample from MLCC. Another win for Belgian Ales. Am becoming quite fond of these.

Appearance: Color reddish amber. Medium head, color ivory and creamy. Aroma: Candied sweet, notes of dried fruits, reminicencias of peach, banana and oranges. Flavor: sweet initially - slight bitterness in the finish. Touches of dried fruits as almonds. To toasted cereals and with acidity-fruty. Finish some metallic. Palate: low-medium body, slightly watery. Medium to high of carbonation. Advisable. (sorry for my english)

What a head. I had to wait ten minutes just to make the second pour. Very smooth. Nose is reminiscent of Unibroue beers. Same yeasty profile as the brewery from canada. However a better malt presence and with less yeasty dominance. Slightly dry. I could drink this in volumes. G-rat

The beer pours a dark, slightly cloudy amber with a thin, beige head. The aroma of carboard, urine, and damp wood. The flavour thankfully doesn’t taste like the aroma, with a decent malty base, and some hop bitterness at the end. Really rather straight forward, expected something more complex. Not a bad beer, but certainly not a great one either.

The aroma was slightly malty w/ flowers and a dark fruit sweetness. The flavor was the same. The beer poured an orangish brown color w/ thin head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.

Nice amber color with a cream colored rocky and lingering head that leaves a beautiful lacing. It smells awesome with a huge toffee note and some nuts. High carbonation for a belgian ale. Well defined toffee and caramel flavor and roasted finish. Surprisingly simple and drinkable though. No hops noticeable, makes it sweet but not cloying and very enjoyable. Some alcohol punch. Very different from other belgian ales also. Original and well done brew.
