Almost like sniffing a jar of jam, the fruitiest beer I’ve ever sniffed at. Taste was fruity, without any bitterness at all. But it wasn’t powerfully sweet either. A good, and different ale. jefcon (1005), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Golden brown in color with a thin head. Not the greatest-looking beer in the glass. Aromas just like dulce de leche. Lots of caramel on the nose and the palate. Slightly sweet throughout. Plenty of caramel on the finish. Creamy for an amber ale, with gentle carbonation and delicate mixtures of flavors. Not altogether bad, but definitely outside the box. Points for inventiveness -- it works. pintbypint (1013), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2004 330ml brown bottle.Aromas of fruit(pear, lemon), honey and iron. Clear amber, off white head is long lasting and solid. Malt and caramel start, fruity-hoppy middle and bitter hop finish. Seems a bit too carbonated, but enjoyable nonetheless. puzzl (2647), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Buttery, yeasty, biting aroma. Smooth orange appearance with a subtle head. Flavor was buttery with a touch of hops but lacking in complexity and finish. Palate felt a touch watery. Not too bad... I’d put it higher than most other 50th percentiles I’ve had. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Pours a deep red. Smelled floral and sweet. Tasted sweet with the same floral scent coming through in the flavor. Also had a strong candy aftertaste. Overall I thought it was refreshing and I didn’t think it was a bad beer. bookman10 (88), Osseo, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 Pours a coppery-golden color with an almost nonexistent head. Smoky, malty aroma. Complex flavors of malt and fruit, with some appealing sweetness and a nice bitter finish. Certainly well worth a try. terrybail (339), London, Ontario, Canada
