Tasted sweet with the same floral scent coming through in the flavor. Also had a strong candy aftertaste. Overall I thought it was refreshing and I didn’t think it was a bad beer. bookman10 (90), Osseo, Minnesota, USA

Complex flavors of malt and fruit, with some appealing sweetness and a nice bitter finish. Certainly well worth a try. terrybail (339), London, Ontario, Canada

Taste is very bitter but nice anyway with notes of malt, rosted, caramel and agrumes, a bit of citrus. The hops is nice and quite present and remains at the finish. A very pleasant beer, nice body, very drinckable and not too high in alcool. A unexpected nice experience. RHeastings (419), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Enjoyed from an 11.2oz bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a medium to deep brown, with an off-white to light tan head. Surprisingly, notes of toasted malt come through in the nose, pairing pretty nicely with the esters thrown by the yeast. The toasted notes also come through in the palate. Some bitterness is noted, although it is only slightly more than what one would usually get in Belgian ales of most varieties. Overall, I enjoyed this beer, although it cannot hold a candle to the great Belgian examples. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA
