Feb 13, 2006 Amber colored beer with a medium bright white head. Not much carbonation for a Belgian. Strong caramel smell, almost like a Rolo with the chocolate sucked off. Goes down far too easy with the lack of carbonation. Flavor is very sweet with a huge caramel taste and some hop flavor and bitterness, but predominantly sweet.

Nov 25, 2004 Amber color, cloudy, full and firm tan head. Mildly spicy, some yeast, banana, and some pear. Medium bodied. Not very distinctive in any way but OK.

Aug 4, 2003 The aroma is probably the most appealing aspect of this mellow Belgian Amber Ale. This beer is the color of a Southern California sunset: hazy and dingy orange, with an aggressive head that lingers. The nose is bright, spicy, bready, and fruity. The mouth is slightly smooth at first, then a creeping but mellow acidity comes in and brings sweet, malty, and somewhat citrus-like flavors to the fore. Decent.

Jan 30, 2004 Bottle pours an amber color with a large head that consists of large bubbles below the head sheen with little lace. The aroma is yeasty and malty. The flavor is dry and lightly yeasty with a fairly rich body. Overall, average to slightly above.

Sep 8, 2005 Pours a beautiful deep rich red color, with a thick lasting caramel colored head. Very sweet taste with a lot of body. Quite good.

Jan 8, 2005 Bottle, Belgian Gift Pack, 2004 LCBO. Orange pour. Good long lasting bubbly white head. Wonderful fruity and sharply spicy aroma. Mouthfeel is actively carbonated and tingly, but does feel a little thin. Taste was more fruit and spice - I was missing the word to describe it and then I saw it below - tart. There was a subtle tartness to the cherry like flavours for sure. Slightly lingering bitter finish, but watered down by, well, the overall taste being a little watery. Overall, not too bad though, I’d have another.
