Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with medium size off-white head. Aroma of malt anise and spices. Taste of caramel malt, yeast and nuts. Slight earthy flavor. Not bad but nothing special about it. Easy to drink.

Typical abbey ale -- moderate malts, restrained hops, faint spices and honey, thin body, rather dry. For a Belgian ale, I would have preferred more prominent spices. Pleasant conversation beer but not spectacular.

Pours a copper color with a nice white head. Decent lacing. Fruit, citrus, nuts, sweet malt, bread, and some floral notes. Fairly watery and overall pretty boring.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, citrus, caramel and yeast. Flavor is sweet, smooth, caramel, with a bitter finish. this was a let down for me.

Yeasty, caramel, malt aroma. AMber body, small white head. Taste is tangy, hits caramel, malts, then gets tart, medium body, with a super-dry finish. Refreshing, tasty stuff. Worth trying, but nothinhg to rave about.

A nice beer. Have a very strong belgian aroma with lots of hops and malted barley. Appearance is nice and cloudy brown. Mouth feel is smooth and flavor is alright, a little bitter for a belgian ale."

This beer was poured into a snifter with no head at all. There was a strong nutty smell to it and it has an amber color to it. It tastes like an almond nutty beer very good though.
