Commercial Description:
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Pours a dark hazy orange/brown sort of color. Lots of foam on top. Aroma is somewhat yeasy and grainy. A little bit of a fruity aroma. I think somw spice as well. Flavor is bitter and a little grainy. Some fruitiness as well. A little lacking in the flavor department. Easy to down, but not memorable.

Aromas of caramel malt and fruit. Brilliant coppery color with a slight beige head that tries to lace. Light plummy flavor, followed by a sour component, and finishes slightly bitter and semi-dry. A really pleasant drink.

This is a fairly drab Amber, Has a slight bitter aftertaste, with a hint of burnt hops, not bad, but I wouldnt have it again.

11.2 oz capped bottle: huge flowing, mash potato like head above a cloudy orange brown body. Chewy, banana/coriander aroma with lemon zest, crusty bread, and yeast. Bitter oranges offer a decent start, but the lack of any real malt and a dry, distant finish don't sit well with me. . .

Yeasty, bubblegum-like aroma, slightly sweet. Thick, foamy beige head with floating sediment, hazy dark orange pour. One dimensional flavor -mainly yeast with some bubblegum notes - just like the aroma. Has a bit of spiced fruit flavor as well. Decent mouthfeel. Finish is a bit dry and leathery. Had much better from Belgium.

Great label. Hazy bright amber with a thin sudsy head. Aroma of butterscotch and caramel. Malty and tart with some apple flavor. Body is both wheaty and fizzy. Very average. I gave an extra overall point for the cool 16th century beer-themed painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder on the bottle.

Very hazy orange. Medium-white head, collapsing. Yeasty nose, fruity-estery, a sourish tinge as from wheat, coriander. Very neutral taste: again wheatimpression. Retronasal flavour as from celery, and ironoxide finish. Light to medium-bodied. Lively carbonation. Ok - but nothing exciting.
