On tap at Sept 07 Indy crew tasting- Nice golden orange color, cloudy, with a decent and crisp white head. Aroma is yeasty and with citrus hop scents and also an expected spiciness. Flavors follow the aromas general path with spiciness and a nice fresh hop flavor mixed in with sweetness, yeast, and light alcohol ester prior to the finish. This is a pretty nice offering. The Brugge usually makes good stuff, and this is one of their real nice ones.

GABF 2007: The beer poured a clear golden color with a small off-white head. The aroma had a nice mix of Belgian yeasty and citrusy hops. The flavor started sweet and malty then yeasty and estery notes joined in. Hoppy bitter finish.

hazy dark yellow, frothy off white head, sweet fruity aroma with citrus hops and a dash of spicyness, creamy body, lots of creamy hops flavor, belgian esters kick in for a fruity sweetness, an excellent take on the belgian IPA idea, probably the best I’ve had

Chalice at the brewpub. Pours a deep amber with a thin, creamy, beige head that laces nicely. The aroma is of sweet caramel, floral hops and Belgian yeast with notes of clove and light banana. Medium-bodied and slick with soft carbonation and a quick, slightly bitter finish. The sweetness and bitterness of this beer "duke out" a balance that almost comes across as sour. This beer tastes much like an undercarbonated tripel with a hop backing. It’s an interesting beer with notes of pear and apple a bit of spice/pepper and a distinctively dry earthy hop finish. More dry than bitter. A very drinkable beer and probably the most quaffable of the three on tap during my visit.

Tap at the Brugge - Indy tasting Sept 07 - Aroma is bready yeast, orange and floral hops. Pours cloudy orange with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with coriander and other spices on top. Palate is creamy and smooth. Another great brew from the Brugge.

Tap: Slightly hazed golden hue with a small foamy head and very good lace. The aroma is very floral and grassy but there is some pine and citrus too. Some Belgian yeast notes of banana, clove, sugar and honey. WOW, great fresh hoppiness taste with notes of grapefruit and apple. Sweet grains and complex sugars but wonderfully balance with a dry finish. The mouth feel is a tad sticky with good carbonation and the alcohol is well hidden. A great hoppy Belgian ale, love it. Get ya some at the GABF!
