On tap at Three Floyds and served in a tulip. This beer poured a golden orange with a thin head of white foam that slightly lasted. Not much lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of orange peel, apricots, and strong alcohol. The flavor was strong and powerful with a heavy dose of astingent orange peels, candied apricots, bread dough, and a healthy shot of tongue warming alcohol. Interesting, but a bit intense. The mouthfeel was full-bodied and tongue coating with minimal carbonation. A pretty nice brew, but it became a bit hard to finish towards the end of the glass. Definately not your run of the mill tripel.

Indiana Microbrewers Festival: Golden hue with a small frothy head. The aroma is a bit funky and acidic, some pepper, cardamom, ginger, apricot, grassy esters along with bready malts and a hint of Belgian sugar. The taste is twangy and fruity with an aggressive boozy nature. The finish is yeasty and spicy. Mouth feel is sharp and highly warming (then again I just noticed that is 11% ABV so I guess that makes sense now). Sort of weird almost hybrid beer but it does grow on you after awhile.

Guest tap @ Mad Anthonys Fort Wayne while on a post DLD bender. Took me six fucking weeks but i finally figured out who brews this fine ale. Clear amber with a white head. Nice fruity, estery yeasty tripel aroma. Medium body with light carbonation. Good flavor starts citrusy sweet and a little boozy, with spicy yeasts. Drys out a bit for the finish with dusty pale malts and hay. The 11% is noticeable throughout but never really gets in the way. A good tripel no doubt, but like most American brewed examples of this style it’s a bit too sweet and spicy for my tastes.

Draft sample at Keg Fest. Poured hazy orange color with a minimal fizzy head that lasted with fair lacing. Complex spicy fruit and yeasty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a good beer.

In short: Simply put, one of the best Tripel I’ve had.

The look: Cloudy orange body with a small white head
In long: Inviting nose with floral and fruity notes. Superb malt extraction, crisp and full body. Crunchy honeyed malts, orange peels, aromatic floral notes, a light granny smith apples tartness, dry grass and citrus fruits. All the flavours I can hope for in a Tripel are there and as a bonus I got a crisp and fresh feeling that I rarely get from a bottle. Typical lively Belgian carbonation. This really is a top notch authentic Belgian Tripel. One of the best Triple I’ve ever had and certainly the best brewpub Tripel I’ve ever had. That Brugge Tripel has nothing to envy to a real Brugge Tripel. Not that it’s not real Brugge Tripel because it is the Brugge Triple, just not a Brugge Tripel. Athough one could believe it is a Brugge Tripel if he didn’t know it is actually a Brugge Tripel.

Very nice local offering, and I agree with those who said this one is underrated. Courtesy of Sprinkle. Nice smokey and yeasty aroma. Pours a solid orange color. Flavor is more of the smoke and yeast, with a big body and lots of flavor. Great balance of malts and sugars as well. Everything works together wonderfully. Very very solid and nice! Hovers between a tasty treat and a good session beer. This will be my go-to anytime I stop by Brugge, no doubt.

Big, big citrus fruit aroma. Wheat flavor with some clove. Lots of fruit and spice. Very Good!!

Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition, on tap. Very caramely with light touch of alcohol finishing it off. Indiana and tripels? A good adoption of the style. I had two.
