Bottle. White lasting head. Relatively clear amber body. Strong and lovely malt aroma. Of course the taste of malt is evident but this beer also is also dominated by a taste of alcohol. Bitterness or sweetness could have done the trick.

Bottle (330ml). At Saint Alexandre Pub, Québec City. Poured clear gold witha decent white fizzy quick-diminishing head. Initial aroma of dusty-dry sweet candy malt and alcohol, with soft yeast - as it warmed some jarring sour notes emerged. The taste was mild and - initially - quite pleasant; apples, yeast, alcohol, light candy malt - but as it warmed it took on an odd sour malt/fruit aspect I didn’t love. Slightly watery body, sticky mouthfeel, nicely carbonate and mildly alcoholic - had a bitterness in the finish and aftertaste that didn’t belong. Not a bad beer, but in the lower third of tripels for that - lacks character and true tripel yeast character.

28/05/06. Sugar on the aroma, almost golden body, sweet taste. Pretty common to find in Brugges and also in Belgium, worth a try but not exactly a second or third.

quite a boozy honeyish beer. Pours with a thin head and not much carbonation. One or two cold ones is enough.
