This means mostly that I had no way to judge colour. However, the citrus aroma was quite enticing, and the beer itself pleasant, but perhaps with too long an aftertaste. Quite nice. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 20, 2005 Good summer quaffer. Cloudy lemon colour with a thin white head. Surprisingly peppery nose, full of spices as well as the characteristic wheaty notes. The palate is creamy, verging on oily. Peppery flavours and coriander notes. Unusually citric. Refreshing but not the best example of the style. (Version sampled was a bottle imported to Australia as Brugs Witbier with a marginally lower abv at 4.8%.)
