Bottled 75cl. It pours a beautiful amber beer with a tall, nicely remaining lightly tanned head. Lovely aroma with a lot of cork, pears, wood and green apples. Musty, complex and pleasant. Rather sour taste. Woody with hints of cork. Nicely balanced. Wonderful lacework. Plenty of character. The alcohol is very well hidden. Very clean. Dry woody finish with some cork and lemon sneaking in. I enjoyed it a lot. This Tripel reminds of a Gueuze.

33 cL bottle at Kulminator. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a dense white head. Caramel malty aroma with a mild spice note. Light yeasty phenolic and caramel malty with a with a mild spice, yet also a bit sign aged with a light oxidiation note. Ends mild yeasty and slight metallic. Still nice though.

Bottle. [thank you, Joris]
Bottle is labeled De Gouden Boom, BBE: 19/12/05
Pours murky amber with a very impressive, staying, creamy, nearly white head. Bubbles away slowly. Heavy aroma, lots of cellar, but also toffee, plums, raisins, light cinnamon and yeast. Low carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Great flavour, very soft and subtle. Very light oxidation on top of a malty, vinious brew. Apples, a little chocolate, some plums, dry (hoppiness?) at the far end. Warming and still feels really fresh. Very complex combination of sweetness, viniousness and tart-like fruit. Very nice.

What? Rated this more than 2 years ago. Have my rating been deleated? 33cl bottle. Golden/amber with a large egg white head. Lots of fruit & yeast with a lightly spiced undertone. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Very quaffable tripel from De Gouden Boom now owned by palm!

Bottle from Glen Imdownthepub, cheers for this one Glen, had this 29-03-08 Bottle dated BBE 06-09-03 so quite well aged. Pours amber in colour with some haze, some spice on the nose and yeast. The alcohol pushes through and whilst this feels quite soft in the mouth it also has a lot going on, some nice spiciness but also a dash of tropical fruits sits on a solid malty base, aroma has softened with age, and this beer goes down surprisingly weel with my fiery lamb curry, once again cheers Glen.
