| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2002 Copper/amber hue with yeast drifting like smoke in suspension. As beer warms, it takes on a murkier appearance. Huge rocky Jersey beach san d colored head. Very fruity aroma, especially mandarin orange. Also some hints of cinnamon. THIS is a BIG BEER. Very spicy feel with a huge malt profile. A cracked pepper flavor early which finishes rather dry. Some sugary hints as well. Reminds me more of a dubbel in some aspects. Delicious. Fruit, cheese and Brugse Tripel, please! DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Impressed me, different from other triples, perhaps by the glass and colour, but most of all by taste...

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2002 Cool clear amber colour and small thin quickly dissipating head. Not much aroma, perhaps faint hops and flowers. I found the alcohol reasonably well masked and the sort of malty pleasant flavour that one might expect. Overall a medium body and fair finish. Nothing to rave about - but maybe another to add to the quaffing list.
