Sep 11, 2005 One of the most wonderful beers I have ever tasted. Hazy amber colour with a huge, beige head. Sweet, yeasty, musty, earthy aroma; the flavour full of sweetness, citrus and nectarine sourness, warm alcohol and a full, satisfying bitterness at the close.

Jun 25, 2005 the coup de grace from egajdzis’ tripel night, courtesy of MBA and the ’96 magnum. poured a hazy brown, almost caramel hue with very little head, aromas of yeast, clove, and malt comiing off. flavor is slightly acidic, a little bit of portwine in the background, banana, clove and yeast. mouthfeel was slick and sweet, almost a little oily, but overall very smooth.

Jun 19, 2005 Vintage 1996 Magnum, not Palm, but from the original brewery. hazy brown/golden, white head. Corky wine-like aroma. Smooth malty wine (slight cork) flavor, with the typical banana like clovey tripel notes. Fruity rich finish. Rather nice and fun to sample something like this...
