Rich nose with good freshness. In the nose you can notice hints of malts,(babellutten)= buttercaramels, almonds, peaches, sweet crumblecakes and some spices. It has a concistent mouthfeel with a fine aftherglow. this beer has a good maltyness with a fine touche of cane-sugar, some soft spices, a nice fruity accent and a fine bitterness in the end. A little on the sweet side and lack of freshness in the taste. PetetheMeat (549), Hove, Denmark

Looks like a tripel, smells like a cross between a cider and a lambic (sour and dried apple). The "bready" yeast appears in the beginning, and is overwhelmed by the sour fruit in the finish. This isn’t a classic tripel, but squarely belgian. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2004 A deep orange color with a moderate white head. The aroma is citrus, molasses, and alcohol. The flavor is slightly spicy with a funky sour citrus flavor and a bit of rotten apples and honey mixed in. This has some lambic like qualities and doesnt seem to be like any Tripel Ive had before. The aftertaste is dusty and interesting. A nice beer anywho. Suttree (2748), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 14, 2004 Orange, cloudy - nice white head. Lotsa floaties. Flowery sweet aroma. Musty basement flavors. Very fruity - notes of apples, cherry and blueberry. Finishes rather earthy and winey. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England

Golden beer with balance and poise but not a lot of richness and complexity.

Nose is malty, fruity (pears, apple). Palate turns out pretty dry from the initial fruit/honey malt interplays and spicy through the floral hoppy finish. Low carbonation, medium body, softly malty. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2004 Solo work on a Magnum. Lucky it was good. Pours honey/amber gold with a small beaded foamy off white head. Aroma is yeasty with piles of fresh bready dough malts. Some apple and spice notes. All of that carries very well to the palate and flavours. Very bready and some yeast citric sours when ice cold. Soapy sap and cedary hops. Honey stronger in the aroma. Grass, hay, barnyard. Piles of fruit, apple, pear, peach, plum, cherry and raspberry. Toasted sweet malts and a champagne mouthfeel. Alcohol is present but hidden rather well, and comes out more at the end. Hopped, medicine, herbal finish. With age, this bottle would be nothing short of amazing.
