berkshire_john (1035), Bracknell, Berkshire, England May 19, 2008 Cask at the Brunswick Inn, Derby. Glossy black with a thin tan head; coffee aroma; thin dry coffee flavour to start; then developing a warming, sweet, milk chocolate finish. A stereotypical stout. haddonsman (1189), Derby, Derbyshire, England Feb 21, 2007 Cask (handpull) Brunswick Inn, Derby. It’s a stout. It does what a stout should do for me; be black, be frothy headed, be a little roasty, have a little cream with the coffee, make you want to order a steak & kidney pie. Yummy. maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Apr 6, 2006 Cask conditioned - handpump - Brunswick Derby. A blackish coloured tight with a little tan coloured head. The aroma is slight roasted malt but with a sour edge. The taste is roasty stouty with a little lactic character. It’s OK but not very enlightening.
