I drink it at least once a week. You want words, don’t you? Like a dirty whore; I’ll give you what you expect and you groan in the pre-destined places - pale, hoppy, refreshing, malt-smack, grass-lick,... fuck this. It’s the best beer in the world; fifteen minutes away from my home, half an hour away from my office, always in my heart. Neckable by the gallon, the true definition of an English session beer. Tainted here by all the sad fucks who only drink these beers at GBBF instead of getting off their arse and finding it out where it’s best.. where it’s best presented... WHERE IT’S BREWED... btw did I mention it’s the worst beer in the world? OMGWTFBBQ-eleventy-one!!!! Sometimes dear old Graham gives up, James is off and away and this becomes an embarrassing rank hole of a beer... OK, not undrinkable but still, not nectar dripped from the tit of Aphrodite. But, you know what? That’s what great beer is about for me. It’s great because it can be shit and then... it can be great again. It’s John Robertson, "the little fat guy", lashing in the 1980 European Cup winner for Forest. You don’t expect it; yet it delivers. Again. And again. I’ve enjoyed a shite-load of beers along the way here on ratebeer - way more than I’ve actually rated - but nothing comes close to the joy I have with this brew. Here is beer. "That’s a good out for you, son". Here endeth the lesson.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Crystal clear pale golden hue topped by a 1cm white head, generous on the lace. A very soft malty ale deploying smooth, soft fresh bready overtones from its pale malts. Extremely sessionable. Gentle sweetness all along. Hay-like crispness gets cut by mellow grassy and floral hops, but little bitterness in there. Still quite good at the pub. oh6gdx (8839), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is really horrible earthy, yeasty and really sourish. Flavour is the same with a lot of eggs in it. Bad condition. FatPhil (3472), Espoo, Finland

Deep yellow sparkler head. Sharply hoppy aroma, some yeastiness. Strong hoppy taste leaves a bitter aftertaste that fades to malt. Some honey and floral hints too. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

Not a great aroma, a bit of lemon bleach. Not much better in mouth. Ugh. Very very poor. Not off, good condition. Elderflower maybe. V.V nasty.
