Feb 8, 2009 Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells rosey and vegetal with some nutty hints. Tastes herbal and earthy with a dry finish.

Mar 30, 2008 Sampled at Manhattan Cask Fest - listed as a 4% abv esb, yet called also called an IPA on the festival sheet - a bizarre ESB - the flavor is very vegetal and a little bit metallic - this is some bready malt character, and a light herbal, tea-like flavor - but everything is kind of overpowered by a strong root vegetable flavor that tastes much like taro and purple potatoes - really strange.

Mar 30, 2008 Cask at Manhattan Cask Festival. Very hazy deep amber-gold appearance. Aroma is quite fresh and hoppy. Nice EKG spiciness with a bit of orange marmalade as well. Flavour is very strange however. Sweet grassy backnote behind a light caramel/toffee base malt. A bit of butterscotch as well that I don’t really dig at all. Fairly astringent bitterness. Meh.
