Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes strong notes of fruit and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruit, and berries. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 9%. Mildly farty aroma, a bit of malt as well. Almost clear brown colour. Very small head. The flavour is sweet and caramelly with some rough alcohol, rough bitterness.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep amber with a beige head. Oxidied caramel aroma. Solid body, overripe fruit, metal and oxidized caramel accents. Discreetly bitter. Very rustic. 211009

Bottle. Deep red, hazy copper colour under a thick yellowish head. Solid malty aroma with some roast. Roasted malts, some chocolate and molasses. Hints of aniseed and spices, the latter balancing the sweetness. A perfect dessert beer in my opinion. Nice craftmanship.

33cl, from De Bierloods Adegem, complex brew, not balanced, clear, rocky head, good brew, probably the same brew as Het Kapittel Prior

Very dark amber beer with orange highlights under a good cream-coloured head. Dark, mainly sweet malts, chocolatecake, with a light spicy spike - liquorice and leaves? Taste reveals liquorice - and masses of it, even verging into salted drop territory. Non-bitter chicory, if that makes sense, very roasted. Needs to be drunk not too cold, warming gives it ample complexity, with chocolate returning. Creamy MF, pretty well-carbonated, well bodied, alcohol lurking. I did not like the liquoricesweets connotation, but the palate softened my judgement.
