Jul 14, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, fruit, malt, caramel. Flavour is hop, fruit, roasted, caramel, hay, malt. Easy drinkable.

Jul 9, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Clear, copper body with a minimal off-white head. Hoppy nose, both fruity and piney, at the start, followed by caramel and maltyness. Balanced but weak flavor, maybe a bit on the fruity side, with slightly roasted malt and caramel. Medium body and a fruity finish. As the other beers from Bryggen, it’s quaffable and quite nice, but they tend to be a bit thin and anonymous. (070513)

Mar 7, 2007 Draught on Bryggen. It’s a beautiful red-golden beer with a creamy head. The aroma is rather neutral, but I find both malt and caramel. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, toffee and a spicy, light bitterness with nice notes of citrus. It’s very harmonic and smooth! 1927
