Looks more like a Vienna than a Dunkel. The flavour identifies it as a Dunkel, though. Caramel, roasetd malt, toffee and hints of coffee and bitter hops. The malty base is quite shy, the beer is surprisingly light-bodied. A solid Dunkel. pivnizub (5014), Bochum, Porúří, Germany

Uniformous Dunkel...... MoritzF (4950), Bochum, Germany

Slightly dusty, sweet and toasty malty nose with notes of dough and a shy tinge of caramel and cacao. Sweet and minimal acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Rather flat and doughy toast-malty taste; moderately sweet and slightly sourish malty finish (21.II.09). JorisPPattyn (5171), Antwerpen, Belgium

Sweet, freshly baked bread, some alcohol, leafy. Sweet, high percentage restsugars, and caramelized malts. Medium bodied, grist slickness. More like a Dunkler Bock than a Dunkel - but good!
