Commercial Description:
Orange Blossom Ale. Inspired by the rich fragnance of blooming orange groves, this copper colored ale combines the flavor and aroma of real orange tree flowers with a well balanced, full flavored ale to produce a real treat for the senses. Munich and light Caramel malts produce a smooth, creamy malt complexity, and American hops give the beer a bright, refreshing bitterness and dry finish. The orange blossom aroma blends superbly with the other beer flavors, providing a unique dimension that is the perfect complement to tangy, herbal or spicy foods, soft cheeses or pastries.

Can, at LA Beerfest. Hmm, interesting idea, but I’m not sure the flavors really “work.” Color is light orange and perfectly clear. Head fades like a light lager. Flavor and aroma do in fact possess an orange blossom essence, but all in all the flavor is thin, too simple, and ultimately a bit clumsy. Finish has an interesting minerally bitterness.

Sampled on 12/2/2009. This fruit beer pours a medium orange gold color from a 16oz can. Medium to small sized white foamy head, with decent lacing. The aroma is orange blossoms, fruity and sweet, with some malt. A light to medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and spicy. Decent carbonation, but seem to go a little flat in you mouth. Nice flavors, kind of surprising to tell the truth. The orange and orange blossoms flavors add a nice aspect to this beer. A lot better than I was expecting. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Rating # 4000 is my personal log..

Can 1 us pint.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, perfume, soap, spicy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090813]

Wow that’s orange. Really orange. Tang. Creeps into the realm that reminds me of a child’s sunblock, but only a little. Orange gold (of course) without much head or lacing. Orange blossom water is a clever and interesting addition, but doesn’t work in the brew for me and comes off as a sharp additive to a mild ale. Comes across as artificial and fails to redeem as I continue to drink it.

Big orange soda type smell. Would work well on a hot day. Color is a vivid orange. Does habe a bit too much carbonation and faux orange taste to it.

Good for its style. Very good for its style. I hate this style. Pours copper-orange. Nose is hoppy, but not too much so. Notes of orange all over this one, which works.

1-pint can, purchased at the brewery. Pours a bright, clear, deep orange color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of candy-like orange flavoring, creamsicle, and basic wet malts; slightly odd, but a nice fruit character and candy-like sweetness. Medium mouthfeel: average carbonation; a touch of cardboard, basic orange notes, and (again) that creamsicle presence of childhood; unrestricted basic sugar and orange candy character; drinkable, without the overt fakeness expected of beers like this; a unique orange blossom character overall; genuine-ish. There’s a touch of spearmint/toothpaste character here, which either speaks of my toothpaste or a slightly minty note. Medium finish: orange sugar, floral notes and a creamsicle.

Can 46,7 cl. Courtesy of BelgianBeerGal. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Piquante, spicy and perfumy nose. Medium body, a little low in carbonation with spicy almost herbal notes and a lightly astringent finish. Interesting. 130809
