Light nutty aroma, with mild chocolate and neutral hoppiness. Very mild aroma. Medium copper-brown clear with foamy light tan lacing head. Medium-light bodied with smooth carbonation (don’t remember if hand pump or not). Smooth brown ale with light biscuity malt character, smooth nutty notes, with a bit of cherry wood and hint of diacetyl. Smooth finish with mild sweetness and light fruity character. After is slightly nutter. A decent brown ale. GregClow (2515), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Ruby-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasty malt with a bit of fruit and caramel, some tobacco - a little stale, but still nice. Medium bodied. Flavour of sweet roast malt with a mild nuttiness and a quick, nicely hopped finish. Crit (2409), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 11, 2004 On a small pub crawl while onshore for a few hrs from my cruise ship, I hit up Swan’s. As a general statement for all of their beers that i tried, the good news is that they were served at the right temperature. The bad news is that none of them was too good, IMHO.
THis was slightly roasty, a bit thin. BillKismet (1952), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2002 Brown amber colored and having a nice mellow nut brown aroma with a touch of malt. I could not detect the malts advertised in the commercial description. This beer has light carmel overtones and a bit of a nutty taste. Furthermore, it is so smooth as seem to virtually lack any carbonation--a detracting point for me--but no doubt one that has made it local favorite. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
