Dull gold clear with light haze, topped with thin foamy lacing off-white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Nice light pale ale, with mild malt sweetness and bit of grain followed by mild hoppy bitter finish. Fairly clean after with a little beany hop character. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 11, 2004 On a small pub crawl while onshore for a few hrs from my cruise ship, I hit up Swan’s. As a general statement for all of their beers that i tried, the good news is that they were served at the right temperature. The bad news is that none of them was too good, IMHO.
This pale was flat, dry and forgettable. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Fairly thin mouthfeel. Not a great P.Ale. I enjoyed the IPA much more. mgermani (864), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with a creamy looking head and a faint corn aroma. Definitely some anglo hops in here, sweet and corny malt but not too cloying. A tad on the thin side but not too much so, low on carbonation, though. The hops redeem this otherwise unremarkable beer, but it’s still not quite enough.
