Commercial Description:
A perfect initiation to our range of "real ales," this is truly an imperial product. We employ a hint of crystal malt accentuated by Willamette and Fuggle hops, producing a light, slightly fruity and delightfully aromatic beer.

Draught sample at Swans Hotel. Mild honey aroma and light malt. Very little hops present. Dull gold clear with light haze, topped with thin foamy lacing off-white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Nice light pale ale, with mild malt sweetness and bit of grain followed by mild hoppy bitter finish. Fairly clean after with a little beany hop character.

Clear dark amber colour with thin beige head. Floral hop nose. Sweet start to bitter taste with lingering bitter hop finish.

Draft at the brewery
Simple, sweet honey and oranges, sour wet dog finish, overall very bland and a little putrid with some mold or compost flavors. Smells like old, spoiled liquid malt extract.

Stuffy nose due to cold still. Think I can taste faintly of orange peel. Fairly thin mouthfeel. Not a great P.Ale. I enjoyed the IPA much more.

Not too fond of the hop blend in this one but it’s probably just me. Light body, a tiny bit sweet, fairly average overall.

Light amber colour. Lifeless appearance - no carbonation to speak of. Fairly light in flavour. Surprisingly bland, I found myself struggling to notice anything at all about this beer.

Mild butterscotch underlies the caramel malt and floral hops in the nose. Clear dark golden body is topped by a light off white, fine bubbled head that recedes to a thin cover. Chewy caramel up front with some fruity esters and a touch of butterscotch joined by a decent balancing bitterness and floral hop notes. Toasted malts emerge in the aftertaste. Butterscotch becomes stronger as it warms. Medium body with moderate carbonation and somewhat slick texture. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Apr-09.
