Commercial Description:
Reddish copper in color, our Amber is brewed with a blend of Pale, Crystal, and Munich Malts. The slightly sweet, roasted flavor of the malts is ballanced with ample additions of Cascade hops, producing a classic American Amber Ale.

12oz bottle courtesy of jh1982, poured into a tulip. Pours a crystal clear amber with a big creamy beige head that shows great staying power and sticks to the glass well. The aroma is fairly run-of-the-mill for an amber with lightly toasted caramel malts taking the forefront with a fairly big citrus hop presence that brings a fruity sweetness to the nose. The taste is much like the aroma and is dominated by light caramel malts and toasted grains. There are hints of hops in the finish, grassy with some citrus, and a slight bitterness through the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and with plenty of carbonation. This is a very drinkable amber that doesn’t bring much unexpected or complex to the table. Not a bad beer, but not a great beer.

Bottle from Ely, NV. Light amber/brownish in color. Aroma features some malts and hops. Decent hop flavor with a bit of bready maltiness.

Tap @ O’Dunkens - I am stoked finally being able to knock this state off of my list. Clear amber coloring, with a floral hop nose, and a faint bit of toasted caramel maltiness. A decent touch of light fruitiness and minerality. Manages to stay clean and well balanced. Not overly complex, but not bad a general quaffer.

It’s been a long time coming, finding a beer made by a brewery in Nevada. You’d think that as big as Las Vegas is and how many people frequent that city, along with Reno that there’d be more craft breweries. Guess it’s just gambling and more gambling in those cities. Still glad to see Ruby Mountain at the store with all it’s different styles. The beer pours out a hazy light copper/amber color with a nice off-white 1-finger thick head. The aroma is mostly made up from light fruits (peaches?), caramel malts, with a light floral bitterness to it. Mouthfeel is slightly watery and sptrizy. Flavors started off with a subtle caramel maly roast quality and then finished with just a touch of floral hops. Decent beer, given how boring some beers in this style can be. Not a barnburner, but not bad for my first beer from Nevada.

A hazy golden amber ale with a thick dissipating white head. Pleasant light floral hops, with notes of strawberry jam. In mouth, a decent yet light ale with light mineral notes, short floral hops, a bit too short. Light to medium bodied. Not bad. Bought at Booze Bros, August 2007. Sampled May 26 2008.

Appearance: Pours a clearish, amber body with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Soapy, citrusy aroma with some light caramel malts. Taste: Some pale malts with a little sweetness, but really not much malt character. Medium hop bitterness. Finishes with a sour citrus flavor. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Watery. Drinkability: Another average amber.

Now contract brewed by Ruby Mountain: Beige label of the saloon with a dripping blood bucket in the middle: Pours a transparent dark bronze copper with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, grainy pale malt and grapefruity hops. Body is thinner and lightly sweet with a decent bittering and flavor hop balance before a drier, lightly toasty finish. Seems like an APA to me.
