22 oz.: Cloudy dark gold with a small white head. Sweet citrusy hops with traces of honey and lemongrass. It has a powerfully bitter taste of cardboard and carbon on the front end as well as the aftertaste. It actually hangs on for quite a while. It has a great feel, thinner than other 2IPA’s. I like it this way. Thanks Secret Santa for this tasty brew.

Bottle pours a hazy dull orange amber with a thin light tan head. Thin even sheets of lacing. Aroma is mellow, sweet, fruity lke melons and lacking the sharp zing of the IIPAs Ive had recently. Flavor is very bold and up front. Balanced and huge. Big malty profule and lots of bittering hops duke it out for a knock-down drag-out. Rather highly carb’d and a rich palate. Sharp lingering bitterness. NIce. Not for the faint of heart. Thanks Pinkzambia for sharing your Secret Santa goodies,.

Pour is hazed amber with a thin tan head...smell is very malty with some light grapefruit citrus notes at the back...taste was very well balanced, but the malts seemed to be more apparent in this than the hops...some bitterness, but very bready...

This is much better than the regular Buckeye IPA. The pour is a nice golden brown color with a white head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is a good thick dose of citrus hops--very nice. Flavors are mostly citrus hops, with a nice finish of malt. This beer finishes very clean and has a great mouthfeel. Probably the best beer I’ve had from Buckeye to date.

22 ounce bottle shared by Willblake at Belgium Comes to Cooperstown. Thanks! 3-4 ounce sample. Apparently, this was a relatively new and fresh bottle. Musty, slight grapefruity aroma without much maltiness or hoppiness in the nose. Kind of disappointing. Moderately hazy orangey-copper color with a whitish head and very nice lacing. Very attractive. Sweet, citrus orangey flavor to start, whch turns a little chewy with some sweet malts in the middle. Finishes grapefruity, bitter, and hoppy with a very smooth mouthfeel. I wish the aroma on this was better, cause every other aspect of this beer is above average.

Thanks OhioDad. Hazy amber beer, thick pillowy off-white head. Great lace and persistence. Fantastic fruity hop aroma, grapefruit, orange, pine and a sweet berryish fruitiness as well. Great aroma... I could smell this all day. Underneath all the hop aroma is some light toast and bready malts. Falvour is equally good. Sweet fruity hop flavour up front, pine/mango and some berries as well. Light resinousness through the finish. Really tasty. Just what the doctor ordered tonight.

Clean fruity citrusy hop aroma, once that wave passes a distinct malt carmel comes around, orange amber color, wow its like biting into an orange,or tangerine, lots of citrus hops, but also a lot of malt backing,a definte sweetness there but can’t tell if its malt or alcohol, wonderful bitter finish. More alcohol becomes evident as it warms. Outstanding, I am on such a roll with tasting the best IPAs in our country. Thank God for our great community of traders ,the nicest most honest , most generous people in the world
