Amber in color with a thick off-white head that sticks around for a decent amount of time and fades leaving heavy lacing. A taste of hops that lingers well. alobar (1019), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Bottle ala StewardofGondor. Lightly hazed dark amber color with a taller, stable ecru head. Caramel coated citrus aromas. Hints of toffee and fresh orange juice. Thick, bordering on heavy, liquid with just a touch of light effervescence. Mild pale malt, with components of cookie dough and light toast. Light orange rind, and mild pine balance things out quite well. The finish is rather sharp, but not distracting. A very balanced brew that begs to be placed in a large snifter and sipped over a good book. Long malty aroma that fits my bill. Not quite a great beer, but a very good and drinkable IIPA. Many thanks Joel. Suttree (2723), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2005 Very cloudy orange, with a foamy white head. Very pronounced clean grapefruit aroma, slightly piney, too. Big hops flavor, of course - grapefruit and resin, mostly, all on a smooth, viscous malt base. Nicely blended - some notes of spice, too, and a peppery finish. Thanks, Secret Santa! 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 15, 2005 Thanks OhioDad! Pours to a really murky brown body with a white head and spotty lacing. The aroma is VERY DELICIOUS. OMG. Can I buy more of this? Citrusy. Pineapples, grapefruits, mango. Sweet caramel malts. The flavor is a caramelly grapefruits and mangos. Light peaches and tangerines. Hoppy and sweet. The palate is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, hidden alcohol. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2005 Bottle shared by Blake. Cloudy brown body under a small tan head. Big sweet tootsie roll aroma with light orange peel at the end. When your nose is fresh it has some bright lime citrus. Lime/orange citrus start to the flavor leading to chocolately carmel cookie malt - bitter, limey finish. A well put-together IIPA but it just doesn’t thrill me that much.
